Pennsylvania currently has over 400 structurally deficient roads and bridges and antiquated railways. This added unnecessary costs to our taxpayers with excessive wear and tear on our vehicles and slows downs commerce within the state. By reinvesting in Pennsylvania's infrastructure, we will attract new business to our state. Investment also creates jobs directly through the firms that are hired to do the work and the ancillary businesses like parts suppliers, supermarkets and restaurants. General for every $1.00 on Infrastructure investment yields a return into our economy at over 1.70 and often times, more.
